THE FARMHOUSE
Responding to these clients' design and space requirements took several concept phase drawings. This family has owned 70 acres for over 40 years in beautiful North Georgia. As a young family of four, camping out in a rustic 2-room unheated cabin was a real treat. Needs change, and a few years ago they decided it was time to build their dream farmhouse with 3BR/2BA. This house would allow their growning family space for family get togethers and a wide veranda to enjoy their family time overlooking their creek and pasture. A must for this family was the screened porch with exterior stone fireplace for those cool fall evenings. The exterior of this home also was carefully thought out with steeply peaked dormers that point skyward. The gable glass details were functional and attractive from both inside and out, in addition to bringing in wonderful light to their living space.
